GDB receives approval for transfer of listing to Main Market of Bursa Malaysia [Press Release]

  • Following approvals from Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) and Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (Bursa Malaysia), the Group is set to transfer to Main Market on Friday, 24 April 2020
  • The Group’s transfer status in just two years aligns corporate image to growing project portfolio

Selangor, Malaysia, 21 April 2020 – Construction services group GDB Holdings Berhad (GDB, Bloomberg: GDB:MK, Reuters: GDBH.KL) is set to transfer its entire issued share capital from the ACE Market to the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia on Friday, 24 April 2020, having received the green light from the SC and Bursa Malaysia, vide letters dated 17 April 2020 and 20 April 2020 respectively. Since being incorporated in 2013, GDB via its wholly-owned subsidiary Grand Dynamic Builders Sdn Bhd, is principally involved in the provision of construction services, focusing on high rise residential, commercial and mixed development projects as main contractor and principal works contractor.

Through its ethos of “early completion whilst adhering to the most exacting quality, safety, and environmental standards”, GDB has delivered numerous iconic buildings throughout Klang Valley.

The Group also added bored piling and foundation works to its in-house capabilities via a 70% acquisition of Eco Geotechnics Sdn Bhd, now known as GDB Geotechnics Sdn Bhd, in October 2019.

In the financial year ended 31 December 2019, the Group secured its highest new contract wins in a single financial year with RM953.9 million worth of new jobs. The new projects secured by GDB in 2019 includes Perla Ara Sentral in Ara Damansara, Park Regent in Desa ParkCity, 5-star Hyatt Centric hotel in Kota Kinabalu, Hap Seng Star Mercedes-Benz Autohaus in Setia Alam as well as piling and substructure works for Aviary Residence in Puchong Horizon.

GDB was listed on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia on 27 March 2018.

Its 70%-owned subsidiary, GDB Geotechnics, extends the Group’s in-house capabilities to include geotechnical and foundation engineering works. This comprises bored, caisson and micro piling solutions, diaphragm walls, earth retaining systems, soil treatment, earthworks, basement works as well as general construction.

GDB Geotechnics also holds a Grade 7 License from the CIDB of Malaysia.
